Sculpted Body

I have space between my thighs now! It’s not that I lost a lot of weight with pilates — although I have lost some — it’s that my body is sculpted and shows def­i­n­i­tion in a way I’ve never had, even as a teenager.  I didn’t think it was phys­i­cally pos­si­ble for there to be space between my thighs, but now my thighs, while still full, are toned and curve slightly through the quad so that there is a dis­tinct hol­low and space between their cen­ters. The other areas I notice most are my upper arm and shoul­der def­i­n­i­tion, as well as abs.

One rea­son I’ve had such great results may be because I’ve stuck with pilates longer than any­thing else I’ve tried. It’s never bor­ing, because there’s always some­thing new to try, and I’ve grown to feel that the staff and other clients at Red­mond Pilates are a new set of sun­shiney, low-key friends. The instruc­tors are unfail­ingly upbeat, kind, and just great to be around.  The other clients are just as happy as I am when they arrive to spend an hour play­ing on the fun, springy and slidey pilates equip­ment, and we’re all like kids on a play­ground. I tell every­body who asks that pilates is basi­cally recess for adults — and it is!  Fun, healthy, and it makes you look good naked. Worth every penny.

I’ve been exer­cis­ing at Red­mond Pilates for nearly a year. I love it! It is a great stu­dio with excel­lent instruc­tors and has pro­vided me with a nice sense of com­mu­nity. I know when I train at Red­mond Pilates I am get­ting authen­tic Pilates train­ing at its finest, per­son­al­ized for my needs and my move­ment pat­terns. I have seen amaz­ing results in my pos­ture, flex­i­bil­ity and core strength. Brand New Body

After see­ing my pos­ture and fig­ure dete­ri­o­rate from years of sit­ting at a desk, I decided one day to stop the decline. I have always hated going to the gym; the masses run­ning on tread­mills and crowds pump­ing away on cycles was never for me, Bor­ing! I wanted some­thing that I would stick to and that would show me real results. I signed up for an intro­duc­tory pack­age at Red­mond Pilates and have stuck with it for over a year. I have lost 45 pounds with a healthy diet and my reg­u­lar Pilates work­outs. I look for­ward to my class; it is per­sonal and tar­geted to my needs and the instruc­tors at Red­mond Pilates really take the time to make indi­vid­u­al­ized cor­rec­tions to max­i­mize the ben­e­fits of my work­out. I love Red­mond Pilates! It has made me strong, with­out bulk­ing up and it has really changed my body and cor­rected my pos­ture. Pilates length­ens your waist and inte­grates body move­ments, adding grace and endurance. I have a waist again and even more impor­tant I have the flex­i­bil­ity and strength to con­tinue to live an active lifestyle.

I was look­ing at a Peo­ple mag­a­zine the other day and remarked at what a beau­ti­ful fig­ure Anna Pac­quin had; then I read she was “addicted” to Pilates. I wasn’t sur­prised, as she had that Pilates look. I really rec­om­mend Red­mond Pilates to any­one who wants real, notice­able results from their work­out. I’ve tried those “kick your butt” style exer­cises like the Bar Method that make you sore; Pilates doesn’t do that to you. It changes your body from the inner mus­cles out and is sub­tle, but very effec­tive. Court­ney, Lexi and Macaully are fan­tas­tic teach­ers that pro­vide per­son­al­ized instruc­tion and spot on cor­rec­tions to my move­ment so I can achieve the changes that my body needs to move effi­ciently.  For any­one that wants per­son­al­ized instruc­tion from knowl­edge­able, friendly, instruc­tors in an inti­mate, bright, stu­dio envi­ron­ment, I highly rec­om­mend Red­mond Pilates. Pilates instruc­tion isn’t cheap, but gain­ing a new lease on life makes it worth it.

I have been going to Red­mond Pilates Cen­ter since Feb­ru­ary of 2009.  The instruc­tors really care about you here, and they are pas­sion­ate about help­ing you to achieve your goals.

I had a very spe­cific goal that I wanted to achieve when I started, and my instruc­tor Court­ney believed in me, and helped me to cre­ate an entire fit­ness plan.  Not only did I meet my goal, I had exceeded it!  Since reach­ing my goal, I still reg­u­larly attend 2 ses­sions a week, and con­tinue to see a huge improve­ment in my mus­cle tone around my core, arms, shoul­ders, back, butt, and thighs.  My pos­ture has also improved.  I used to have very bad lower back pain, and that has improved sig­nif­i­cantly as well.  

I really can’t thank Red­mond Pilates Cen­ter enough for always believ­ing in me, push­ing me to excel, and encour­ag­ing me on my path to bet­ter health.  They con­stantly chal­lenge me with more advanced work­outs so that it never gets bor­ing, and my body con­tin­ues to gain strength and see results.
