I started Pilates two months after deliv­er­ing my third son. I came with back and S.I. joint insta­bil­ity, pos­tural issues as well as many other ortho­pe­dic prob­lems. I was over­weight and out of shape from back to back pregnancies.

Now seven months later, I have dropped 70 lbs. Although, I have been my cur­rent weight in the past, I have never achieved this level of con­di­tion and body shape. My hus­band tells me that I look bet­ter now than when he mar­ried me!

My progress as been slow due to my ortho­pe­dic issues, and many times I wanted to give up. I am grate­ful for my instructor’s encour­age­ment and for the aware­ness they’ve given me of the impor­tance of hav­ing a strong body core for every­thing I do.

I can’t imag­ine where I would be (ortho­pe­dic ally speak­ing) in ten years if I had not dis­cov­ered Pilates
